I think that today was probably the best representation of Ray Rice as the player that we new him to be last season. Miami didn't prepare to stop him and they gave him way too much room, always trailing a few yards behind him. The Dolphins did a lot of s*** talk after the game claiming that Rice is really nothing special. If catching seven passes for a total of 98 yards and burning you repeatedly in the running game is "nothing special" then I really challenge you to check your definition of the term.
This was arguably also Joe Flacco's best game since he came to Baltimore. He completed 74% of his passes, threw two touchdowns and notched his highest Quarterback Rating ever with 129.6. While he was sacked twice, he got right back up and continued to read the coverage, make smart throws, and put the ball in the hands of his playmakers. It should be noted that the Ravens, didn't have to punt once today! NOT ONCE!
The defense certainly played their part as well as they managed to shut Miami out of the second half of the game!
Definitely a win to be proud of and well deserved! The 3rd quarter controversy made it a little exciting as well (what did you all think of that?!)! The Ravens maintained their streak and now are sitting in a prime position for the remainder of the season. They are definitely the team to beat and I wish good luck to any team who makes the attempt.
