Difference Between 5th and 6th Seeds

" Upsets have been the theme of 2010, so it’s not crazy to think a fifth-seeded Ravens team could get a home game for the AFC Championship.
That’s a long way down the road, so the more immediate scenarios to dissect are the fifth and sixth seeds’ first-round opponents. According to NFL.com, the Ravens are currently slated as the sixth seed and would travel to Kansas City to take on the 8-5 Chiefs. But, moving into the fifth seed would mean the Ravens visit the 8-5 Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ravens fans would probably feel confident in either matchup so why not shoot for the fifth seed?
Looking into the second round, a fifth seed winner would face the New England Patriots while the sixth seed winner would matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. "
