"A total of 27 teams remain in contention for a postseason berth in the 2010 NFL playoffs, but four teams can clinch spots going into Week 14 games, according to the NFL and the Elias Sports Bureau, which tabulates all of the possibilities each week.
For the first time since realignment in 2002, seven of the eight divisions have two teams either in or within one game of first place through the first 13 weeks of the season. Last week (Week 13) was the first time since 2000 that no team had a chance to clinch a postseason spot that late in a season."
