While the beginning of the offseason may mark some well deserved time to rest for the players, it marks the beginning of many important staff meetings to discuss changes and plans for the 2011 season.
Tuesday's all-hands personnel meeting included Owner Steve Bisciotti, Head Coach John Harbaugh and General Manager Ozzie Newsome, was the official start down the road to improvement.
According to the Baltimore Ravens website, "The personnel meeting serves as a way to take the Ravens’ self-scouting and apply it towards 2011. At this time last year, the Ravens’ main priorities were upgrading the weapons around quarterback Joe Flacco, adding depth at cornerback and building more of a pass rush."
Eric DeCosta, Ravens Director of Player Personnel added that the meeting was another way to turn the page after finishing the 13-5 and losing in the divisional round of the post season.
“It’s a good opportunity to provide closure on the season and talk about the players,” said DeCosta. “We’ll formulate our plan moving forward. It’s more about the offseason and what we need to accomplish, what our plan is going to be."
